Authorities have been asked to take action against six so-called “bosses” of The image Group, a well-known online company promoter, for common scams, money trafficking and related crimes that have affected over 700 patients.

Lawyer Sittra Biabungkerd and Democrat Party MP-turned-activist Tankhun Jitt-itsara lodged a complaint with the Consumer Protection Police Division ( CPPD ) on Friday against the iCon Group’s CEO and a number of well-known celebrities. They are accused of money laundering, deceitful lending, entering false data into a computer system, and common scams.

Mr. Sittra claimed that he had received testimony from victims that suggested the company had no products to sell but had rather enticed people to enroll in online courses through a pyramid structure.

The six “bosses”, referred to as Boss Paul, Boss Kan, Boss Sam, Boss Min, Boss Peter and Boo Mor Ek, are well-known people. The prosecutor showed their images to reporters but did not give out their names.

The image Group has been in the light due to its connection with well-known artists, such as Yuranunt” Sam” Pamornmontri, Kan” Fluke” Kantathavorn and Pechaya” Min” Wattanamontree. Woratphon” Paul” Waratvorakul, 41, serves as the CEO of the image Group.

Four patients reported that rich people were invited to eat dinner with Boss Paul, and various “bosses” would join in to talk about investments and products, according to the attorney. Fine dining experience were presented, creating an effect of legality. Three victims each invested 250, 000 ringgit, but a year later, they received no materials, indicating a clear case of public scams.

At a press conference yesterday ( October 10 ), celebrities who are at the so-called “boss level” asserted that they were only marketing assistants and were not shareholders. ” However, after working for the company for over a year, they must be aware of the bank’s operations, and it’s impossible that they are not”.

He accused those famous people of engaging in public scams, compared the structure to a pyramid structure, and questioned Boss Min’s say that it sold 1 million goods.

” I really want to know whether those products are available or not. Who bought them? As far as I know, the products did n’t exist”, the lawyer said. ” It was just a plan to entice people to invest, and those who invested lacked confidence in those celebrities because they believed the famous people do not defraud them,” said one investor.

He claimed that those actors and actresses likely benefited from deceiving members into investing by at least 10 %.

Boss Kan “owns at least 30 comfort timepieces worth at least 150 million baht. How does he make this much money just by being a TV host? He has obtained income from The image Group and offers luxury cars, houses and various belongings”, said the attorney.

Mr. Sittra urged the Violence Suppression Division to look into the “bosses” ‘ financial networks and claimed some patients had considered suicide as a result of the circumstance. ” Based on the evidence, I believe at least four leaders — Paul, Kan, Peter and Mor — will be in prison for common scams and wealth laundering”, he added

Mr. Tankhun backed Mr. Sittra’s says that the business did n’t concentrate solely on attracting customers to spend rather than on generating sales.

He noted that those famous people may receive at least 10 % of the income, and that more than 700 people had fallen for the program, which is thought to have cost billions of bass annually.

According to Mr. Tankhun,” I’ve learned that some stars have given away their assets to those near to them to avoid scrutiny.” ” Boss Mor is not a doctor, despite the title in his name”. In Thai, mean physician.
