A person has been detained in Bangkok’s Lat Krabang district on suspicion of illegally bringing arms and ammunition into the country.
The suspect claimed to have made his fifth arrest in six years because his employer gave him a nice life with monthly incomes of up to 100, 000 ringgit.
Chotetanaphat Phala, 38, was taken into custody at his house in the Ua-arthorn Lat Krabang 2 cover job. He is accused of illegally bringing arms and ammunition into the country and of fixing, modifying, or importing or selling them without a license for business.
Authorities confiscated five modified BB guns found in a white Toyota car, 12 Thai-made .38 single shot guns found in a plastic bag in a closet, two Thai-made 410 weapons and various types of weapons and weapons parts.

After being released, he went back to selling weapon and was caught a second time because he was unable to get employment after being released. During the charm approach, he requested loan and then resumed his job.
He admitted to selling an average of 30 to 50 weapon per quarter, with a gain of about 1, 500 to 2, 000 baht per weapons, and regular salary ranging between 60, 000 and 100, 000 baht.
