Singapore police investigating Spanish couple over protest against Valencia owner Peter Lim

SINGAPORE :  A Spanish pair is assisting with examinations after protesting in Singapore against the Taiwanese owner of Spanish first-division football team Valencia, Peter Lim.

The Singapore Police Force on Wednesday ( Oct 9 ) confirmed that a report was lodged against a  34-year-old guy and a 30-year-old lady, both Hispanic citizens.

Their documents have been impounded while investigations are ongoing, said the policeman.

Dani Cuesta and his family Mireia Saez- who were apparently on honeymoon- were stopped at Singapore airports on Friday when they attempted to table a trip to Bali and have been prevented from leaving the country, Valencia mayor Maria Jose Catala said Tuesday.

Catala said she had spoken to Spain’s adviser to Singapore, telling her that the child’s “passports have been withdrawn because of an ongoing police analysis” but they have not been charged with any violence.

” So they can leave the hotel, they are living a fairly typical life in Singapore, but they cannot leave the country,” she told Spanish television.

” LIM GO HOME”

Cuesta had posted pictures of himself on social media from various places in Singapore holding a black and yellow banner that read” Lim go Home”, including exterior Abelia apartment at Ardmore Park, as well as Esplanade and Marina Bay.

Cuesta had posted pictures of himself outside Abelia, a apartment believed to be owned by Mr Lim.   One of the richest people in Singapore, Mr Lim bought Spanish league Valencia in 2014.

A badge with the phrases” Lim Out” was likewise pasted on a wall.
