One Thai from Lebanon has returned to Thailand carefully, while five people were waiting to escape the conflict-struck state, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

But, Nikorndej Balankura, the MFA spokeswoman, said that about 100 different Thais living in Lebanon also wanted to stay to analyze the situation more.

On Sunday, Mr. Nikorndej held a press conference online about the escalating Israel-Lebanon fight.

He said the government had been updated by the Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday that the Israel-Hezbollah turmoil may increase.

Thais living in Lebanon have been contacted by the military in Riyadh and the public embassy in Lebanon to get information about the war, get support according to their needs, and get calls to go back to Thailand.

In spite of reports of Israeli air strikes hitting goals in the state’s southern cities on Sunday, Mr. Nikorndej claimed that the majority of Thais were residing in Beirut, which is considered to be fairly safe.

He claimed that one Thai had requested to return to Thailand and had arrived house in good condition. He added that five Thai massage therapists in Lebanon had even requested a profit.

The consulate is working with their businesses to bring them home.

” There’s around 100 Thais dwelling in Lebanon, many of them have settled in the country and have people there and would like to stay in Lebanon to examine the condition”, he added.

The MFA and the Royal Thai Embassy in the Middle East have now planned to listen to a number of conditions, including a Thai evacuation of Lebanon, according to Mr. Nikorndej, because the situation is “very intensive and does rise.”

He said residents of high-risk areas should stay there as long as flights are still on and the weather space is also free.

Please refrain from visiting the northeastern region of Israel, which borders Lebanon, if you intend to, he asked.
