Car crash topples 10 power poles in Bangkok

A vehicle hit a power shaft, toppled about 10 beams and entirely blocked traffic on Soi Lat Phrao 48 Road off Lat Phrao Road in Huai Khwang city, Bangkok, on Sunday night.

Apparently, the injury occurred at around 6.20 am. The pale vehicle was discovered crushed beneath a toppled power pole as rescuers arrived on the scene. They came to the rescue of the passengers.

No deaths were originally reported.

Electric authorities were called in to recover the area’s power supply.
