SINGAPORE: The Housing and Development Board ( HDB) will launch 2, 085 , Build-to-Order ( BTO ) flats with shorter waiting times , across , three projects in Bukit Batok and Sengkang in October’s sales exercise.
In particular, the flats in West BrickVille@Bukit Batok will be completed within two years, making it “one of the shortest wait time projects” it has ever launched, HDB said on Sunday ( Oct 6 ).
The , Fernvale Flags and Fernvale Oasis BTO tasks in Sengkang may only take significantly longer to complete, with a worry time of two decades and three times, and two years and nine months both.
With October’s sales exercise, the total number of Shorter Waiting Times ( SWT ) flats launched this year will rise to 2, 876 units, fulfilling a commitment that was made last year and reiterated in January.
” In 2023, HDB committed to launching 2, 000 to 3, 000 SWT condos per year by 2025. With this latest present, HDB has met the goal a year ahead of schedule”, it said.
” Nearly 70 per cent of these cottages comprise 4-room and 5-room cottages, which are the most famous flat types among people”.
HDB has been able to offer almost 3, 000 SWT cottages this year by “working attentively with various government agencies to make websites available earlier, and starting building works several weeks, or even more than a year, ahead of the job launch”, said , CEO Tan Meng Dui.
This improves on the typical BTO project delivery timelines, where we have now begun building construction as soon as the sites become available, rather than waiting until the sales launch for level applications to come in.
Mr. Tan noted that this year’s supply of new apartments with a waiting period of less than three decades is “almost four times that of the supply of last year’s offer.”

He claimed that this “offers residents with more pressing cover needs” more choices.
A certain percentage of SWT flats each year “better help home ownership aspirations of Singaporeans,” Mr. Tan continued to deliver cheap and high-quality flats properly.
Additionally, it may gradually adjust its building strategy to ensure that SWT condos will account for more of the supply of new flats.

Between Bukit Batok Road and Bukit Batok West Avenue 8 will be located the approaching BTO initiative in Bukit Batok. The job comprises 689 models of 2-room Flexi, 3-room, 4-room, 5-room and 3Gen cottages across five home stones.
