Animal rescue teams and volunteers are frantically trying to stop the storm tides from dragging them away.

Due to the severe flooding that caused all roads to the blog to be blocked by rainwater and landslides, volunteers and staff members at Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai have been working hard to keep jumbos and additional animals.
The garden in the Mae Taeng region posted an urgent message on Friday claiming the inundation had worsened and put it in a critical condition. Everything at the center is disconnected from the outside world, from phone signals to power.
One of the messages read,” We urgently need volunteers and bird cages as we must walk the creatures to the mountains because the roads are fully closed in both directions.”
Large drainage and rapid burst from the Taeng River, which passes through the garden, began on Thursday, creating what employees called” the worst ever” flood.

Since Thursday, workers and participants have been attempting to relocate all animals, big and small, to higher ground, while their coworkers, including leader Saengduean Chailert, are stranded on a road because a disaster prevented them from getting to the area.
Animals, cows, and water buffalo were being taken away from the park from the moment on Friday evening, and anyone who saw them was asked to contact team.
One employee claimed to be in control of the park’s 125 animals and that two of them are alleged to get trapped in the current. Some have been saved by animals by bringing them to the top, she continued.

The job that Elephant Nature Park does is renowned for its efforts to save and treat elephants. It is also a shelter for other pets such as cats, animals, water buffalo and animals.
In another Instagram post posted on Friday, Ms. Saengduean claimed that some areas of the park was have floodwater up to five meters before reaching the roofs of buildings.
” I do n’t know how many elephants can be saved”, she said while holding back tears. ” We may call those in the river”.
Officials in Chiang Mai were given the directive from Natural Resources and Environment Minister Chalermchai Sri-on on Friday to immediately mobilise workers and volunteers to assist with the recovery of the species. Additionally, they have been given ships by the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department.
