SINGAPORE: S Iswaran, a former transport minister, received a 12-month prison sentence on Thursday ( October 3 ).
Last year, he admitted guilt to five counts of obtaining significant products as a public servant and one of obstructing the justice system.  ,
Another 30 claims were taken into consideration for punishment.
The defense had argued for no more than eight weeks of imprisonment, while the trial had previously requested six to seven months of prison.
