What would you like to do in your 80s?

Some gardening, even learning a speech, a bit of exploring, spending time with the children.

Or possibly entering a global beauty battle with the ultimate goal of launching your modeling career internationally.

For Choi Soon-hwa, it was a no-brainer.

The 81-year-old took to the stage this week with women a third of her time for Miss Universe South Korea, hoping to reach the playoffs in Mexico later this month.

The problem, though, is why?

It’s only two people left after raising kids and going through difficulties, according to the original medical worker to the BBC shortly after she left the stage.

It becomes the source of your life’s power once you discover it, leading to happier relationships and better relationships with people, which in turn improves your well-being. “

Since a person suggested she take it up at the peppy years of 72, the thing Ms Choi wanted to do has been modeling.

After years of financial strain that had brought her and her home to the verge of ruin, the post gave her the trust to make the move.

She has since become a well-known experience in South Korea- including walking the tarmac at style week- but launching a job abroad has proved challenging.

But when Ms Universe, the celebrated beauty pageant that started nine years after Ms Choi was born, decided to ban entry people over the age of 28, she jumped at the chance to participate, making her the oldest contestant to date.

” It was something I had n’t have imagined,” she says. I had wanted to take the model’s shoes off the runway for several years.

There was no obvious path or direction for me, but since the Earth opposition had no age restrictions, I participated with the intention of taking the stage on a global scale. “

The removal of age restrictions comes as the Miss Universe competition has become more diverse in recent years, allowing transgender people, one parents, and married women to participate.

However, her passage also sparked a lot of controversy, not the least among her rivals.

” The members were surprised to see me, and when they learned I was 80, they expressed enthusiasm, saying, I want to time like you,” she admits.

And it has piqued her attention internationally: Ms. Choi has made headlines all over the world.

A Mexican passport was not purchased as a result, Han Ariel, 22, receiving the Miss Universe South Korea king.

However, Ms. Choi did not leave with the name” Best Dressed,” but she did so nonetheless.

She continues,” Just being able to attend is an awesome and honorable experience,” adding that she hopes to be one of the many older women to compete for the title and, consequently, to challenge beauty standards.

” Since this is still new, there’s a lot of hype, but as more elderly participate, opinions on them will change, and there will come a time when elders can engage in earth competitions,” she says. ” But for now, it ’s also time for the young to take the step. “

And whatever comes next, she is aware that some of her biggest supporters, such as her two grandchildren, will always be at home.

” My grandkids praise me on, saying,’ Our aunt is so nice, pretty, lovely, and the best! ‘”
