Political activist Ruangkrai Leekitwattana says he will ask the Election Commission (EC ) to look into Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s ethical behavior regarding her stakes in Alpine Golf and Sports Club on Tuesday.

Alpine Golf Club and a private complex are both located on a controversial religious narrative in Pathum Thani.

Mr. Ruangkrai stated on Monday that he would ask the EC to look into whether Ms. Paetongtarn had violated Section 8 of the ethical standards and Section 160 ( 4 ) of the constitution, which requires cabinet ministers to be evidently honest.

He claimed that Ms. Paetongtarn gave her family, Khunying Potjaman Damapong, her stock of the business on September 3. According to him, copies of documents from the Department of Business Development show that the company held a owners ‘ conference on April 30. The owners on that time included Ms Paetongtarn, who held 22.41 million shares with document figures 5229001-74700000.

However, the business sent a copy of the updated shareholders listing to the section on September 4. According to the list, Khunying Potjaman holds the same amount of 22.41 million securities and the same document numbers.

In light of this, Mr. Ruangkrai claimed that Ms. Paetongtarn had the option of giving the stock to her family on September 3. The shares account for 30 % of the company’s total of 74, 700, 000 shares.

He claimed that Ms. Paetongtarn held the stocks until she transferred them to her mother on September 3 after being voted in as perfect secretary by the House on August 16.

Mr. Ruangkrai claimed that despite the Land Department robbing its membership in 2001, the company still owns the contentious 444-rai property plot.

He said, referring to Ms. Paetongtarn, that being a stockholder in the organization that owns the land whose membership was revoked by the Land Department could be deemed a violation of moral requirements. He further stated that he will request that the EC conduct an investigation into the matter and send it to the Constitutional Court to determine whether the prime minister should be ousted in response to the situation.
