The dying man was identified as Niroot Yamphuang, a 39-year-old servant at an entertainment facility on Pattaya Sai 3 Road. He used a.32 modified plain gun to shoot himself in his right temple on Saturday night near his place of employment.

The waiter had just a few hours before refused to turn himself in and the gun was pointed at him at himself, as the Pattaya authorities had requested. Local residents and visitors were forced to leave the place for protection.

The incident took place after Patipol Prapairat, a 20-year-old vehicle motorist, complained that Niroot had aimed a firearm at him in the area at around 5am on Saturday. Mr. Patipol informed the Pattaya authorities of the event.

On Saturday nights Niroot returned to his work. When Mr. Patipol’s party approached him for a discussion, Niroot drew his revolver and began walking around the neighborhood.

Pol Lt Col Thananont Athipansee, the assistant chief of the Pattaya police depot, allegedly contacted Niroot after he was informed that he was stressed out because he was a ten years old and facing an arrest warrant for murder and attempted murder in his native Ratchaburi. Next Niroot committed suicide.
