Malaysian tourists warned of bad weather in Thailand

Malaysia has clearly advised its citizens who are visiting Thailand to remain cautious because the country is experiencing storms that have pelted some provinces with storms.

Travelers to Thailand should be on the lookout for poor conditions, according to Ahmad Fahri Ahmad Sarkawi, the consular standard of Malaysia, and warn against visiting islands.

The minister told the Bernama information agency on Thursday that the weather in Thailand is presently very extreme, with solid winds, heavy rain, and large waves, particularly in islands like Phuket.

One of the southern destinations that are being closed due to the conditions brought on by Storm Soulik is Ao Phangnga National Park, which is home to the renowned James Bond Island.

Malaysians have been visiting Thailand for the past year as Hat Yai region in Songkhla has become their main stop during the week-long school vacation that ends this weekends.

A day after the president issued his notice, three Malaysian-registered cars were damaged by a wind that sent heavy rain and windy winds to Ban Dan Nok, a frontier town in Sadao region of Songkhla, same Kedah state, on Friday.

The storm, according to Sadao police, reportedly caused three cars from Malaysia to fall on large trees and utility poles as well as some. No one was hurt because they were n’t inside the car at the time of the incident, they continued.
