Japanese embassy in China calls for more security after school boy stabbed

After a 10-year-old Asian boy was killed this week in a knife strike that was the next to specific school students, the Chinese ambassador to Beijing has demanded more protection for Chinese citizens there.

The embassy said ambassador Kenji Kanasugi had a phone conversation with China’s vice foreign minister Sun Weidong in a statement released on Friday ( Sep 20 ).

It did not go into specifics about Sun’s response, but it stated that Japan had urged the Chinese government to do everything in its power to protect Japanese citizens that and provide information on the incident.
