What Penang is doing to reclaim its title as the Silicon Valley of the East

Malaya: The Malay condition of Penang, previously known as the Silicon Valley of the East, is seeking to regain its name.

In order to support the nation’s goal of attracting US$ 115 billion in investments by 2030, Penang wants to tap into the front end device manufacturing supply chain, which includes chip construction, advanced testing, package, and included circuit design.

Malaysia, now the sixth-largest silicon producer, has been focusing mainly on backend actions. The state commands 13 per share of the world council, testing and packaging industry.

Over US$ 5.6 billion has been earmarked by the government as part of the regional silicon method, which was unveiled in May of last year, to help the business proceed up the value chain. &nbsp,
