Philippines vessel from contested South China Sea shoal returns to port

After five months of deployment, the Philippines will return to port on Sunday ( 15 ), according to the maritime council.

What Manila believes to be China’s small-scale restoration actions has been monitored by the coast guard ship Teresa Magbanua since April.

Beijing has become enraged by its appearance, making the reef the most recent battlefield in the conflict.

BRP Teresa Magbanua is presently sailing up to her homeport with her mission accomplished, according to Lucas Bersamin, executive director and chair of the National Maritime Council, in a speech.

Bersamin claimed that Teresa Magbauna’s profit was necessary to meet the crew’s health requirements and undergo repairs.

The Chinese ambassador in Manila did not respond right away.
