SCDF to sound public warning system sirens islandwide on Sep 15

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) will sound its” Important Message” signal islandwide on Sunday ( Sep 15 ). &nbsp,

The minute-long practice will take place at 6.20pm.

The signal&nbsp, may even appear for 20 minute on all phones that have the SGSecure mobile apps, SCDF said in a media release on Thursday. &nbsp,

A quick text message will follow the open warning system’s sounding.

For users to receive the transmission and text message, the SGSecure smart phone’s alert and call options may be turned on. &nbsp,

Members of the public should soon tune in to any neighborhood television station or Mediacorp TV channels for a short information on the open warning system, according to SCDF. &nbsp,

On Feb 15 and Sep 15, SCDF makes the Essential Information sign at 6 p.m. each year through the public notice system sirens.
