The state-run Transport Co plans to continue the Udon Thani-Nong Khai-Vang Vieng van services in November.
Van Vieng is a city in the Chinese province of Vientiane, about half approach to Luang Prabang, known for its gorgeous views, limestone rocks and tunnels.
At a gathering of Thai and Lao area transport officials in Vientiane on September 4 and 5, the anticipated reopening of the vehicle route was discussed, according to Transport Co acting common manager Atthawit Rakchamroon on Tuesday.
The route will take you to Vang Vieng town from the airport in Udon Thani, passing through Nong Khai state, and then vice versa. Exchanges between Udon Airport and the Sino-Lao high-speed rail may be made easier with its commencement in early November, according to Mr. Atthawit.
The Udon Thani-Nong Khai-Vang Vieng van service was launched in 2012. International bus services were suspended in 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 crisis. In 2022, The Transport Co. reopened nine Laos vehicle roads.
The organization operates 92 vehicle visits which serve about 3, 000 people a day on the nine roads: Nong Khai-Vientiane, Udon Thani-Vientiane, Nakhon Phanom-Thakhek, Ubon Ratchathani-Pakse, Bangkok-Pakse, Mukdahan-Savannakhet, Bangkok-Vientiane, Loei-Xayaburi-Luang Phrabang and Chiang Rai-Bokeo.
Mr Atthawit said the Transport Co even planned to create five more roads to Laos- Chiang Mai-Boten, Bangkok-Savannakhet, Pattaya-Pakse, Pattaya-Vientiane and Pattaya-Savannakhet.
