Driver’s licenses are being updated to plainly state whether the recipient is a donation of organs, according to the Department of Land Transport ( DLT).
The fresh glance, which was introduced on Jan. 29, 2021, was announced in the Royal Gazette on Wednesday.
The office stated that all driver’s licenses issued before August 7 this year are appropriate until their expiration date.
If the recipient is a documented benefactor, the Red Cross logo appears “organ donor” at the top right of the updated license. A smaller sign with no word was present in the earlier license.
Jirut Wisanjit, the district’s director-general, said the news was in line with a memorandum of understanding signed with the Red Cross Organisation on Aug 9.
According to Mr. Jirut, drivers may send donation forms to their local DLT locations to have their licenses emblazoned with the Red Cross sign.
