Thailand: A young Russian man has been found dead with severe , injury in a trench at Karon shore, and authorities believe he was killed abroad and his body dumped it.  ,
According to Pol Capt Pheerawat Yodtor, an inspection officer at Karon police stop in Muang neighborhood, he was lying on his back in the ditch next to the Naga memorial along the road that leads to Karon Beach. He was only wearing a pair of pants.
Around 1pm on Tuesday, authorities received a report of his body identification.  ,
The victim was seriously ill, had serious bruising around his left ear, and had serious breaks on both arms. He also had wounds close to his eyes. He appeared to have been struck with a tough thing.
He had been dead for at least 8 days, according to physicians, before the body was discovered.
Near the body was discovered a traveling bag containing a Macbook computer, passport, and other items.
Authorities identified him merely as Ilia, and said he was a Russian nationwide. He arrived in Phuket on January 24 of this year, and he and his family were granted a 90-day visa-free stay. His immigration expired on July 22, and he extended it by visiting Malaysia and returning via Satun.  ,
His body was afterwards disposed of in the trench and later discovered by researchers; it appeared he had been killed abroad. They were looking for facts while they were looking through security camera footage. To determine the exact cause of death, the figure was sent for a post-mortem investigation.
According to media reports, the victim was 27 years older.
On Wednesday, criminal officers were still looking for evidence at the scene. The Phuket department of the Russian judicial had been informed.
