Philippines: Alleged Chinese spy Alice Guo arrested in Indonesia

Past president of the Philippines who had been wanted for months after being accused of spying for China has been detained in Indonesia.

Since Alice Guo vanished in July as part of an investigation into her alleged criminal pursuits, Philippine officials have been looking for her in four different places.

She has been accused of protecting virtual games, which served as a staging area for scams and human trafficking organizations in Bamban, her weary pig-farmer area.

Ms Guo denies the claims. Officials from Indonesia and the Philippines said they were working together to arrange for her returning to the Philippines “at the earliest possible time.”

According to the former president, she was raised on the home plantation by her Chinese papa and Filipina mom, but MPs who conducted the investigation claimed she was a Chinese national named Guo Hua Ping and a detective who provided protect for organized crime.

The Spanish Senate has since had her sister detained and questioned before in light of her extraordinary nature, which sparked international outcry and garnered international attention.

Authorities believe Guo slipped previous border checks in July and took some canoes on her way to Indonesia, where she was detained on Tuesday at the northern boundary of Jakarta’s money. She was detained after crossing Malaysia and Singapore, where she was detained on Tuesday.

Online gambling or Spanish Online Gaming Operations are not prohibited, but they are increasingly being used as cover for additional crimes.

The companies, which typically cater to mainland Chinese users, flourished under former president Rodrigo Duterte, who sought close economic and political relations with Beijing.

But Mr Duterte’s son, Ferdinand Marcos Jr, reversed the country’s international policy path and has cracked down on Pogo-linked acts since assuming department in 2022.
