The line-up of Thailand’s new government is expected to get submitted for royal confirmation on Wednesday, according to resources in the Pheu Thai Party.

According to Pheu Thai Party resources, the new cabinet’s lineup is scheduled to get submitted for royal approval on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the government’s legal finger, the Council of State, has checked the credentials of candidates for government positions and sent the list up to the cabinet secretary pending a thorough examination by Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra before imperial approval is sought.

The new government will hold its first meeting to discuss its plan statement, which is expected to be made public to parliament between September 11 and 13, according to sources. After the new government officials take their oath of office, they will meet with His Majesty the King.

Ms Paetongtarn said on Tuesday that the government list is then ready for royal confirmation and Dr Prommin Lertsuridej, the PM’s secretary-general, will send the listing to the house. ” It is now about legal things”, the prime minister said.

She claimed that the new government wo n’t have a honeymoon because it needs to focus on solving a number of pressing issues.

We ca n’t afford to go on a honeymoon. She said that we will have to carry on Srettha Thavisin’s actions as former prime minister.

Ms. Paetongtarn further stated that she had instructed party MPs to attend their constituents more often to talk to them about their issues and find solutions.

She also confirmed that the new government’s lineup policy will continue to be the digital wallet flyer program, even though it would need to be changed to include distributing the money in cash.

Following Mr. Srettha’s termination as prime minister by the Constitutional Court’s order, the handout plan, which aims to deliver 10,000 baht via a digital bag to around 50 million eligible Thais, hangs in the balance.

However, a source previously said the scheme would not be abandoned. With a budget of 122 billion baht, the conditions will be changed to concentrate more on the less-vulnerable groups.

The money can be distributed as regular fiat currency, the source claims, using the welfare card introduced under the former Prayut Chan-o-cha government.

Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai stated yesterday that the policy statement that the new government will make before the legislature is comparable to that which Mr. Srettha advocated.

” It is from the same Pheu Thai-led government”, Mr Phumtham said, adding the new government will push for the implementation of its election pledges, though some details may be adjusted.

” The goal of addressing economic woes remains unchanged”, said Mr Phumtham, who also now serves as the acting prime minister.

Chada Thaised, the caretaker deputy minister of the interior, announced on Tuesday that he would withdraw from the Bhumjaithai Party quota in order to allow his daughter Sabeeda Thaised to succeed him.

Pakorn Nilprapunt, secretary-general of the Council of State, said the secretariat has only asked the council about issues related to the eligibility of those who wish to become cabinet ministers.

He claimed that the council has not yet examined the candidates for cabinet positions or examined their credentials.
