Thicha: Specialist forced to resign

The Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection ( DJOP) is considering whether to extend the contract of Thicha Nanakorn, a long-serving juvenile justice expert, as the department’s budget for hiring experts will be trimmed.

According to a report released on Thursday by the DJOP, the company has a plan of reducing the number of its employees, particularly professionals and experts, for the 2025-2028 fiscal years.

Due to this, Ms. Thicha, who had been in charge of the Baan Kanchanapisek Vocational Juvenile Training Center for Boys for 20 times, resigned.

The office is evaluating her performance, according to DJOP director-general Pol Lt Gen Prawut Wongsrinil, who said the agency will determine whether to extend her lease.

He noted that a man of the director stage could be one of the DJOP’s executives to get over her position, but added that this requirement was clarified.

Ms. Thicha recently made her departure public last Saturday via a Facebook post. ” Rather of feeling shocked, I find it hilarious that I have to stop this position after having it for 20 times”, she said.

Since Baan Kanchanapisek was founded 20 years ago, Ms. Thicha has been its one and only producer. She has participated in a number of social cases, including those involving the Area 112 der majoreste law.
