Two injured after sinkhole swallows car in Seoul: Reports

In Seoul, two people were hurt when a car they were driving in was sucked into by a sinkhole that appeared on Thursday ( August 29 ).

According to local media accounts, a hole emerged in the middle of a street in Seodaemun area, northern Seoul. &nbsp,

The vehicle, which had two people inside, “rolled over backward and crashed into the hole,” according to The Korea Herald.

A woman in her 70s and a gentleman in his 80s were injured and sent to the doctor, the statement said.

The hole caused significant traffic congestion, the paper added, with&nbsp, more investigations underway to determine the reason of the sinkhole.

Second firefighters have restricted access to the site, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.
