Eight passengers had been killed and 2 others injured any time a passenger van consuming them to make value overturned in Khon Kaen province earlier Saturday, police mentioned.
Pol Col Preecha Kengsarikit, chief of Muang Khon Kaen police station, said upon Saturday morning that this van with Nakhon Phanom licence plates overturned on a bypass road in tambon Phra Lap in Khon Kaen’s Muang district.
The vehicle, carrying nine female passengers along with a male driver, remaining Nakhon Phanom around 11pm and has been heading for Chaiyaphum state for merit-making at nine temples, the officer said.
6 women died immediately and two was a victim of their injuries. Every one of them were over 6 decades old. The driver as well as a nine-year-old girl suffered injuries. They were taken to Khon Kaen Medical center.
Police suspected the driver dropped asleep behind the wheel. He can be interrogated as soon as his condition boosts.
