Poll: Most Thais want Thaksin to stay away from govt

According to a survey conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration, the majority of Thais believe former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra should never take any position in the government led by his youngest child Paetongtarn” Ung Ing” Shinawatra and allow the management to do its job easily.

Through telephone conversations with 1, 310 people from across the nation who are 18 and over and have varying levels of education, employment, and earnings, to get their opinions on the part Thaksin does and would play in the Paetongtarn Shinawatra-led state.

Asked about the possibility that Paetongtarn will handle the land without Thaksin’s effect, the replies were:

– 28.85 % Thaksin may not hold any positions, but she can offer her opinions on the management of the country from “behind the curtain.”
