Search for tourist who plunged into 8m-deep sinkhole in Malaysia enters third day

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: The search for an Indian tourist who fell into an 8m-deep sinkhole in Kuala Lumpur’s city centre entered its third day on Sunday ( Aug 25 ).

The 48-year-old woman was walking on a road when it instantly caved in on Friday night, sparking a search-and-rescue activity.

However, the procedure was halted on Saturday night due to a lack of new prospects, and resumed on Sunday night. &nbsp,

According to the New Straits Times, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday addressed the home with an order to meet with them.

” The search-and-rescue goal continues. There are still problems with the earth that we need to tackle”, he told reporters.

Officials previously checked all six gutters from Jalan Masjid India, the site of the incident, and a sewer water in Pantai Dalam.

But, there were no signs of of the girl, except for a pair of boots belonging to her.
