In light of concerns about declining recognition, former Democrat head Chuan Leekpai has vehement opposition to the party joining the Pheu Thai-led state.

Mr Chuan reiterated his position against participating in Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s partnership. He said in a Friday interview with CU Radio at Chulalongkorn University that he must defend his reputation because he promised voters that he would not support” Pheu Thai”.

Despite Mr Chuan’s opposition, the Democrats, led by Chalermchai Sri-on, appear poised to enter the criticism and join the coalition government. In the Vision for Thailand conference on Thursday, former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra acknowledged that the Democrat people may be a part of the government led by his child.

Democrat assistant secretary-general Chaichana Detdecho was likewise present at the conference, marking Thaksin’s initial public speaking engagement in Thailand in 17 times.

According to debate, the Democrat Party may hold two governmental posts, with Mr. Chalermchai serving as the minister of Natural Resources and Environment, and Det-it Khaothong holding a second lieutenant placement in a ministry. These games are regarded as belonging to the greatly divided Palang Pracharath Party, which is led by Gen. Prawit Wongsuwon, and who may not be able to join the state.

Mr. Chuan warned that joining the coalition do” free party” the Democrats, taking the place that Gen. Prawit’s faction had formerly held.

” As an older technology, I firmly believe the Democrat Party has integrity and integrity”, the 86-year-old lawmaker said during the television program. The party’s integrity and dignity are no longer the equal.

The country’s oldest party won just 25 chairs in the general election on May 14 last season.
