Nine believed dead after plane crashes in Thai jungle

Bangkok: Rescuers searched the Thai jungle on Friday ( Aug 23 ) for nine people who were missing after a turboprop plane crashed southeast of Bangkok, despite the authorities ‘ expectations that there would be no survivors.

All on board the plane was believed useless when it went down in the woods of Chacheongsao state on Thursday, according to Thai officials.

When the aircraft crashed, nine people, including two aircraft and seven people, were traveling from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi aircraft to Trat state, a region on the Gulf of Thailand known for its beaches.

” It happened at around 3: 10pm ( 4: 10pm, Singapore time ). We are looking for the missing, but we think they are all dead, government Chonlatee Yangtrong told reporters on Thursday at the field.

The people included two children between the ages of 12 and 13, according to local media, and included four Thais and five Taiwanese.

More than 300 military workers and volunteers have participated in the research, and officials have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.

They have found some system parts, as well as parts of the plane, authorities said.

However, the research is hampered by heavy snowfall.

Although there are some wet areas,” We are not planning to stop until we find them,” Chonlatee said.
