Man to be charged after Geylang fight involving 67-year-old who died of his injuries

SINGAPORE: A 40-year-old man will be charged in court on Thursday ( Aug 22 ) after a fight in Geylang involving a 67-year-old man, who died of his injuries.

On Wednesday, the police announced in a media release that they had been called to a battle along Geylang Road at around 2.35pm on August 3. &nbsp,

Initial studies revealed that the 40-year-old gentleman had allegedly assaulted the 67-year-old target. &nbsp,

The older man was taken to a hospital where he had been recovering from his injuries on August 19 but passed away.

The 40-year-old was eventually arrested by the police. On Thursday, he will be accused of deliberately inflicting terrible harm.

If found guilty, the person faces up to 10 years ‘ prison, and a great or punishment. &nbsp,
