The masterplan was released in 2019 at a time when Singapore’s crucial services sectors were also developing operational engineering cybersecurity.
” Any successful settlement of these devices, on which the provision of essential solutions depends, will sacrifice our national security, the general public, the environment, the economy, and our way of life,” said Mr. David Koh, CEO of CSA.  ,
” The stakes are too high to dismiss, so we must push the envelope, and we have to do more”.
Mr Hubert Heng, operational technology cybersecurity systems division manager at ST Engineering, elaborated:” If you look into the perspective of it, ( if ) I compromise the door access, ( if ) I compromise the so-called camera systems, then I will have the ability to actually look and change everything and make sure that people do n’t even know that I’m there to do an attack”.
In order to incorporate functional technologies cybersecurity into the curriculum of computer science and engineering degree programs, CSA did work with institutions of higher learning in the updated measures.
In order to help research into important emerging technologies, the organization will collaborate with numerous partners to establish an Operational Technology Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence.
CSA intends to revise its masterplan again in the next five times, to further boost Singapore’s threats and maintain a tenacious digital environment.
