Bangkok: Two days after parliament elected her, Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn endorsed Paetongtarn Shinawatra as prime minister on Sunday ( Aug 18 ), evoking her as leader and allowing her to form a Cabinet in the upcoming weeks.
The queen’s acceptance, a politeness, was read out by House of Representatives Secretary Apat Sukhanand in a meeting in Bangkok.
