Window cleaner dies as scaffold falls

The crane supporting a glass cleaner was slammed to the ground in Bangkok’s Thong Lor neighborhood on Saturday when it fell.

The scaffold and software on Sukhumvit Soi 24 were severely damaged when police and rescue personnel rushed to the scene after they discovered it had come into contact with the ground. The body of the deceased man employee was discovered close by.

The deceased’s fellow workers reported to the police that he had climbed onto the scaffold to clean the windows of the high-rise tower. Suddenly, the scaffold fell to the ground, resulting in the death of the victim, whose title was not yet ben released.

The cause of the scaffolding’s collapse is being investigated by authorities.
