Russian beggar arrested on Koh Phangan

Sola THANI:  A Russian person detained on the holiday island of Koh Phangan was discovered to have overstayed his immigration by more than four years, according to tourist police. &nbsp,

Dmitri Babaitsev, 56, was found lying in front of the Banana IT store’s Koh Phangan tree, holiday authorities said on Monday.

During doubting, he told officers he had both Russian and French passports, and had entered Thailand using his Russian files.

He entered the country on February 19, 2020 via the Surat Thani immigration station and was granted a 30-day card. He had overstayed his immigration by 1, 599 time.

Mr. Babaitsev has been charged with overstaying his card and has been turned over to Koh Phangan police for legitimate reasons.
