Mother’s Day was celebrated throughout the state yesterday, with Aug 12 being the day of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother. The National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand, under royal support, has marked her day as the world’s Mother’s Day since 1976. To celebrate, activities and events are held to indicate the sacred ceremony.
