After the owners of two lavish villas that were being built on Koh Samui’s mountain did not do so themselves as per the state’s order, SURAT THANI ordered the municipality to demolish them.

On Thursday, Koh Samui city key Kampanat Klinsaowakon, the mind of the Fourth Army State’s area investigative unit, Col Dusit Kaysornkaew, and several other leaders led a team to the demolition of both qualities, which were located on the hilly terrain in the Koh Samui district’s tambon Bo Phut.

After the company discovered late last year that no authority had been given for the two palaces to be constructed, Koh Samui Municipality conducted the demolitions. Additionally, the components were being built on hillsides that were rapidly over the permitted 50 % of the landmass.

Before the date, the town had previously instructed the villas ‘ owners to block the work and destroy their homes. Yet, they decided not to follow the attempt. On February 27, the town informed the property owners of the situation and gave them the opportunity to challenge the decision.

But, Mr Kampanat said no appeal was made. As a result, the town exercised the operational specialist approved by Koh Samui governor, Ramnet Jaikwang, to dismantle the villas.

Mr. Ramnet has been kind to home owners in Koh Samui in recent years, according to Natdanai Himtong, the mayor’s minister, having formerly permitted them to make any necessary changes to their components if they had been illegally constructed.
