Two people died and several others were hurt in an explosion at a port in the Bang Sai region of Ayutthaya province on Friday afternoon.

According to reports, Ruamkatanyu Foundation rescuers arrived at the scene in tambon Sanam Chai at 2.10pm after being called in to report the incident.

According to a rescuer, there have been confirmed deaths of two persons and injuries of at least seven, with three of those deaths significantly.

The place should be avoided so that vehicles can get to the injured, according to local authorities.

The blast occurred while employees were welding material for a dock, according to an original investigation. Sparks from the soldering reacted with the port’s new ink, which contained a volatile thinner, causing the storm.
