Chadchart sets up battle of student marching bands

City Hall will host a walking in line band contest between two schools in Bangkok and an additional two from Nakhon Ratchasima tomorrow mid-day at Indoor Stadium Huamark in Boom Kapi district.

The fight between Wat Suthiwararam and Wachirathamsatit schools in the capital and Ratchasima Witthayalai and Suranaree Witthaya schools from the northeastern state will take place from 2pm to 4. 30pm.

An origin said the idea for the event first came up on National Boy Scouts Day upon July 1 when governors from across the country gathered with each other, including Bangkok chief excutive Chadchart Sittipunt and Nakhon Ratchasima’s Wichian Chantaranothai.

As Nakhon Ratchasima is home to some of the tour’s top-ranked marching rings, Mr Chadchart floated the idea of organising the competition between the two provinces to stimulate the economy.

All 1, 500 complimentary seats were reserved within 26 minutes of these being released on Come july 1st 25, the source mentioned.

People can watch it via live broadcast in the Facebook page associated with City Hall’s Advertising Office, as well as Thai PBS.

Antigen tests is going to be mandatory for those attending in person.

According to the Facebook page, the marching music group of Wat Suthiwararam School was founded in 1955 to play for that school’s Boy Scouts.

The college has won several global music competitions such as the World Marching Show Band Championship in Sydney it happened in 1999. It also pocketed the Class A Champ Award in this year’s Music and Marching Arts World Tournament.

Wachirathamsatit School, also in Bangkok, was called the best-supporting team at Thailand’s 32nd student marching music group competition and collected the Royal Mug bestowed by The girl Royal Highness Little princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in 2013 plus 2014.

Meanwhile, Suranaree Witthaya School triumphed at the Sit and Enjoy Concert World Organization of Marching Display Bands in Copenhagen, Denmark. It also gained the best music movie director award at a music festival in Rastede, Germany in 2015.

Ratchasima Witthayalai School offers won numerous songs contests since 1988.
