In a white sheet for 2024, the Army recommends the purchase of a variety of weapons, including armed drones, to address Thailand’s security challenges over the next three years.

The army was in need of the weapons, according to the white papers that was made available on Sunday, to protect the country from all kinds of risks.

The white papers provided an overview of the requests for weapons and related products, but it did not provide specifics.

Aside from armed drones and assault helicopters, the report stated that the military even needed tanks, turned armoured vehicles, police helicopters, transfer aircraft, defence radar systems, regional monitoring systems and better intelligence and communication equipment.

Gen. Charoenchai Hinthao, the army’s captain, stated that the white papers was distributed so that the general public would be able to recognize and comprehend the functions of the troops and its growth strategy.

According to him, the record of weapons was based on potential problems that would exist between now and 2027.
