Seoul’s chemical response teams were prompted to mobilize on Wednesday ( Jul 24 ), according to security officials, after North Korean balloons hit the South Korean presidential compound.
The South Asian president’s office in city Seoul, which is protected by a number of soldiers and a no-fly area, has been immediately hit by any of the dozens of balloons that Pyongyang has launched since May.
” The chemical, biological and radiological ( warfare ) response team has safely collected the trash balloons”, the presidential security service told AFP.
” After research, results have confirmed that there were no harm or contaminants of the object”, it said.
Seoul city officials issued an call on Wednesday night, as well as South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, which previously confirmed the North was once more sending the trash-carrying bubbles.
Do not feel any fell bubbles and review them to the nearest military base or police depot, it said.
