In comparison to the previous quarter, the overall supply of Certificates of Entitlement ( COE ) will increase by 1 % for the August to October period.
There will be a total of 15, 283 COEs, up from 15, 104 in the previous quarter, the Land Transport Authority ( LTA )  , announced on Tuesday ( Jul 23 ).
The COEs in Category B for larger cars will increase by 0.9 %, while the quota for Category A, which is for smaller cars, will increase by 1.5 %.  ,
The COE source for professional vehicles in Category C will increase by 5.4 %.
Submissions for automobiles in Category E or the Open Category, which is commonly used to record larger cars, may see a 1.2 per share increases.  ,
The Category D limit for riders will be the same.
Beginning on August 5, bidding under the new limit will begin.
The COE limit for the bidding phase of November 2024 to January 2025 fourth will be announced in October, said LTA.
The COE limit consists of the following aspects:
- In the twelve-month period from July 2023 to June 2024, 25 percent of the alternative Submissions from deregistered vehicles were issued.
- Based on the class C vehicle population as of December 31, 2023, there is a provision for a growth rate of 0.25 per cent per year for Category C vehicles.
- Adjustments to the car population, expired COEs, the Commercial Vehicle Early Turnover Scheme, and redistribution from Category A, Category B, and Category D guaranteed deregistrations.
