A House committee on Wednesday demanded that the government explain why it is supposedly misinforming the people about land problems involving about 265, 286 acres of land in Thap Lan National Park.
The commission contends that the government has misled the public by claiming that the narratives are part of lady forest. The suggested separation of these property narratives from the national park and their use by events is a result of this.
In reality, these land plots are no longer in their natural state, said Laofang Bundidterdsakul, a list-MP of the opposition Move Forward Party ( MFP), and a member of the House committee on land, natural resources and environment.
Mr Laofang said these property plots now building a community with a church, business, school, and medical facility.
The plan to remove these 265 286-rai plots of land from Thap Lan is an attempt to convert area in the lady bush into agricultural land, according to he said.” Those politicians who handle the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment are encouraged to tell the truth and right the false impression,” he said.
More than 922, 000 people have participated in the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation’s ( DNP ) online public hearings on the plan to revoke the protected forest status of the 265, 286 rai land, with approximately 95 % of participants opposing the move.
Mr. Laofang argued that the accuracy of these hearings is questionable because their conclusions might have been affected by misunderstandings about the true condition of the land plots being proposed as farming land for the underprivileged.
The committee on March 14 next month supported the commission’s decision to approve the Thap Lan area parting plan on Wednesday. It urged state authorities and other interested parties to work together to ensure that only those who are ready for new lands for agricultural reasons may be given any.
