Missing Chinese Tiktoker’s dismembered body reportedly found outside Bangkok, Thai police say suspect has fled country

A Chinese social media influencer’s remains have been discovered in Thailand, and a Chinese assume has left, according to reports from Thai advertising. &nbsp,

This is in response to a number of robberies that have occurred in Thailand and the Philippines this year and have sparked concern in both nations. &nbsp,

According to local media, Thai authorities said the bones were most likely those of 38-year-old TikTok character Yan Ruimin, who is believed to have been abducted while visiting the country as a holiday. &nbsp,

On June 26, Ms. Yan made her way to Thailand from Malaysia. A friend reported her missing on Friday ( 12 July ) after claiming he had last heard from her on Jun 30. Ms. Yan had formerly mentioned plans to travel to Phuket in the south in the first half of July.

On Saturday, authorities forensic team recovered a badly decomposed and dismembered body in Chachoengsao, some 50km south of Bangkok.

The body was discovered at a deserted location close to a housing estate in Tambon Bang Phra in the eastern province of Muang by a search team led by Noppasil Poolsawat, the deputy chief of the Thai Metropolitan Police Bureau ( MPB).

According to the Bangkok Post, researchers are working with criminal officials to conduct DNA testing on the body parts and fully establish personality.

Additionally, they are now questioning a 32-year-old Taiwanese person who entered Thailand from Singapore on June 30 according to press reports as Mr. Ma Qingyan.

He is said to have met with Ms. Yan on July 1, the day that she is suspected of being murdered, in the center of Bangkok city, at Soi Sukhumvit 12. &nbsp,

They travelled to an address at another road, Soi 16, and stayed that up till overnight. &nbsp,

Later, police data that was mentioned in localized media suggested the suspect had stopped 12 times in the course of leaving Bangkok in a rental car.

His final destination, which is believed to be near the center of Chachoengsao, is where he is said to have spent more than an hour igniting papers and other items, including a backpack thought to be Ms. Yan’s.

Ms Yan’s body was discovered around 1km away. Mr. Ma took the occupied vehicle back on July 3 and immediately set off for Hong Kong and Macau. &nbsp,

According to local media reports, police in the area found heart in both his hotel and his car. &nbsp,

Between Jul 4 and Jul 6, Yan’s Twitter Give account made many acquisitions in Macau, although there was no report of her leaving Thailand, local media reported. &nbsp,

Noppasin indicated that the Thai Examiner reports that the authorities are now attempting to have the criminal detained and brought up to Thailand for questioning.

After visiting the Chinese embassy in Thailand for assistance, one of Ms. Yan’s relatives in China claimed to have received a ransom demand from Mr. Ma for 5 million Thai Baht ( US$ 137, 977 ). &nbsp,

But, on Sunday, MG Noppasin downplayed reports alleging that Ms Yan’s departure was linked to a murder gang, suggesting there had been some uncertainty in the late influencer’s communications with her family. &nbsp,

Ms. Yan also had about 11, 000 followers on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu, where she was referred to as” Ruiming.”

Her final article on Xiaohongshu featured her dancing in Macau in May, describing herself as a person who enjoys activities.

Many major feedback paid their respects. One remark, which had 2, 300 loves, wrote:” Rest in peace. Some international Chinese are certainly despicable, targeting their personal’ comrades’. How could they possibly accept doing this?”

A number of new holiday kidnappings have been exposed in Thailand and the Philippines since the incident.

A 27-year-old Chinese woman who was feared to have been kidnapped in Thailand for a 5 million yuan ( US$ 688, 335 ) ransom was discovered by Thai police in a Bangkok shopping mall in June. &nbsp,

A Chinese student studying in Australia was admonished by a theft crew in Thailand in April, and a Thai police officer helped her escape after demanding an 8 million yuan.

A Chinese federal and a Chinese-American presumably on a business trip to the Philippines were kidnapped and killed late last month.
