SONGKHLA: During a police raid on a home in the southern province of Muang, nine people were detained for allegedly using illegal drugs. A large variety of crystal methamphetamine was also seized.

According to the arresting group, border patrol officers found six men and three people taking medications inside a room that had turned into a drug-fuelled group inside the home in tambon Thung Wang on Wednesday.

The suspects attempted to flee after being seen by the police, but they were all eventually apprehended.

Seized from the home were a bottle containing crystal meth, drug-taking equipment, 12 shells of guns and other products.

Udom Phuekphong and his partner Duangkamon Darayon, both 37, made it known to be the home’s users and shared a story with police that the medication belonged to them. The pair was accused of using illegal substances and obtaining them. Additionally, Mr. Udom was charged with unlawfully obtaining weapons.

The seven people, who also had substance use histories, admitted to using crystal meth. At Muang Police Station, all of the documents were turned over to the police for constitutional actions.

Following a complaint that inside the home was frequently held medicine parties, people were reportedly selling drugs.
