An American father has been accused of trying to remove the rest of his family in a house fire while killing three of his kids.

A five-month-old woman, a two-year-old son and a six-year-old son died in the incident. Three boys- older four, seven and 11- and a nine-year-old child survived, along with their family.

The 28-year-old person is facing three counts of murder, five counts of attempted murder and one fee of destroying home. He is still being cared for by a police officer.

The fire, which comes at a time when Australia’s state has labeled home and community violence a “national problems,” horrifies the nation.

The dad, who police allege started the fire and later stifled rescue efforts, may appear in court on Thursday and appear remotely in a hospital hearing.

The alleged attack took place around 01: 00 ( 15: 00 GMT ) in Western Sydney on Sunday morning, according to witnesses, police, and emergency services.

The four surviving children and their family were rescued by neighbors and first firefighters. The two- and six-year-old boys made it out of the property in a vital condition, but died in hospital a short time afterwards. The five-month-old girl woman was found dying.

According to police, the family and the four surviving children are all in a stable state.
