Century-old royal pictures stolen during a fireplace and sold off to buyers

An advertising tycoon’s vehicle has been detained by police on suspicion of stealing four century-old pictures from his boss’s home during a maiden fire.
Pol Maj Gen Theeradet Thumsuthee, the analytical head of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, reported that authorities detained Nava Hongsakul, 36, while he was driving a pleasure truck in front of the Royal Thai Police office in Pathumwan city of Bangkok at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the captain, Mr Nava applied to be a pilot for Krisana Thanomsab, chief executive officer of Belink Media, in 2022. Within a month, the Samut Prakan native was given the task of entering every room of his owner’s Udomsuk Road palace.
On May 4, a blaze broke out in the home. The Video was shut down as a result of it starting in the electric power control area. The suspect secured the suspect’s boss’ exit from the property. ( Police video )
Stolen legendary photos sold to buyers
In the middle of the panic, the suspect was later tracked down to the evacued mansion and robbed four King Rama V photos that were taken approximately 120 years ago. Eventually, the suspect resumed his normal job.
After the fire was put out, the company found out that the images, which have imperial signatures and are portion of a family legacy, were lost. He filed a problem with authorities.
The pictures were purchased by collectors in Chon Buri, Nakhon Pathom, and Nonthaburi regions for a total of 100, 000 ringgit, according to police.
Pol Maj Gen Theeradet said the suspect confessed that he had sold the pictures, which were considered valuable, online.
The suspect had previously faced legal charges for being a gaming host, according to police.
