China’s coast guard says it ‘allowed’ Philippines to evacuate sick person in South China Sea

China: China’s coast guard reported on humanitarian grounds that it had “allowed” the Philippines to leave a person who had fallen ill on a rotting ship beached on the Second Thomas Shoal, which was located in waterways claimed by both nations.

The Chinese Coast Guard stated in a statement late on Tuesday ( Jul 9 ) that it had been checking and verifying the entire operation on Sunday, according to its spokesperson.

The Spanish coast safeguard accused its Chinese equivalent of preventing a medical evacuation from the ship a month before, calling the activities “barbaric and cruel.”

If Manila notifies Beijing before a vision, China’s overseas government announced the same day that it would help the Philippines to provide resources and eject employees.
