Foreigner steals van, crashes in Phuket

Bali: A foreigner reportedly allegedly left a vehicle parked with the motor on, which was later involved in a collision with another vehicle immediately afterward.

The incident on a path to Patong shore in Kathu city was reported about 9pm on Saturday, Pol Lt Pongpipat Khamchompoo, deputy director at Patong, said.

A foreigner’s vehicle with Songkhla membership plates collided with a Thai registered vehicle. Both vehicles received minor injury. He did not disclose the person’s nationality or other information. &nbsp,

The stranger was said to be at a clinic and encountered the Songkhla van, which was parked with the engine on and no driver. He took off in the truck and headed for Patong. On the valley street, the two trucks collided.

The van’s owner, who is only identified as Tiva, told authorities that when he got out of a roadside stall to buy citrus, he anticipated returning very rapidly and regaining his grip, he left the keys inside and the engine running.
