Following successful surface tests, Thailand will roll out a new alert system that you send emails to all mobile phone users in the event of a crisis or disaster.
According to government spokesman Chai Wacharonke, the launch had been delayed because the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission ( NBTC ) announced last week that the service might be operational by the middle of 2025.
The novel system will be used to send emails to all mobile phone users in Thailand, including visiting immigrants, on matters of public health in five dialects- Thai, English, Chinese, Japanese and Russian. No need to download an app, really. The notification may be displayed in the form of both audio and visual.
The NBTC, cellular phone providers, and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation collaborate on the service.
The NBTC asserted earlier that the program also required the government to establish a distinct control center.  ,
The first time the system had been used in Thailand was a successful test with a , life body spread of the program with real customers on Wednesday next week. In March, Rival Advanced Info Service ( AIS ) conducted a user-free trial of the system.
Depending on the value, body spread technology makes it possible to issue emergency warnings to all wireless devices connected to mobile networks within a particular target area or throughout the country.
Similar systems are already in use in nations like Japan and South Korea to warn citizens to dangerous ailments and natural disasters.
