A flames that roared through a packed group in Yaowarat, Bangkok’s Chinatown, was brought under control later Saturday evening. There were no fatalities but 30 people essential health treatment.

Around 8.42 p.m. on Saturday, the fire broke out in the Trok Pho group in the Samphanthawong district’s Yaowarat Road. The 3, 200- square- inch longer- position group was packed with about 30 sturdy houses.

At 11.16 p.m., firefighters declared the flames under control after using about 40 fire vehicles.

Part of the seven-story New Empire Hotel was damaged by the fireplace. Using the mechanical hoist of a fireplace engine, firefighters safely rescued guests.

There were about 30 individuals reported injured, most of them older individuals suffering from dust inhalation. There were no casualties reported.

As paramedics continued to line down the charred flames, a portion of Yaowarat Road was temporarily closed for public health, from the Chaloem Buri crossing to the Odeon circle.

About 280 persons were affected and sought support. Some took sanctuary at nearby temples- Wat Chai Chana Songkhram, Wat Samphanthawong and Wat Traimit. The majority of them were people who came from different counties and neighboring countries. ( Video: &nbsp, Warunwipa Kasempongpanit )
