NEW COURSES FOR SENTOSA EMPLOYEES
As part of a new effort to improve the region’s appeal to visitors, Sentosa employees will be able to take courses that focus on conservation in addition to ones that include ones like wellbeing tourism and improving customer support.  ,
A new agreement signed on Thursday ( July 4 ) between Sentosa Development Corporation and NTUC LearningHub aims to increase staff capabilities.  ,
Over the next three centuries, these mentoring programs will be available to about 15, 000 workers.  ,
Resorts World Sentosa ( RWS), whose workforce accounts for 70 % of island workers, supported the agreement.
Lee Cheh Hsien, Sentosa’s assistant chief executive of corporate and sustainability, stated that the island aims to be a destination that is constantly evolving with its customers ‘ needs.  ,
” As populations change, we are always ready to serve them”, he added.  ,
According to a Sentosa Development Corporation spokesman, island visitor arrivals increased by 20 % to 15 million in 2023, up from 2022.  ,
” This number is around 75 per cent of our regular monthly visitorship figures pre- COVID, signifying our powerful recovery”, she said.  ,
